Farmer joined Lynn University in 1994 and played two seasons with the men’s golf team. Although his time with the Blue & White was brief, his accolades and accomplishments have helped build the men’s golf program to what it is today. Farmer anchored Lynn’s first and only men’s golf national championship squad in 1996, leading the team with a 75.02 stroke average. He was twice named a NAIA All-American and left the program as the leader in top-10 finishes in a season and career. His season record was tied in 2006 and broken in 2011 while his career mark was surpassed in 2006.
