Lynn Athletics Lands 106 Student-Athletes on SSC Spring Honor Roll

Melbourne, Fla. – A record 1,301 student-athletes were named to the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll, announced Tuesday by Commissioner Ed Pasque. A total of 238 student-athletes carried a perfect 4.00 grade-point average for the semester, including 24 Fighting Knights.

A total of 106 Lynn University student-athletes were tabbed to the Spring Honor Roll, encompassing the sports of men's and women's basketball, women's swimming, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, men's lacrosse, baseball and softball.

This spring's numbers break the previous SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll records of 1,142 student-athletes honored and 177 perfect grade-point averages, which were set in 2017. 

To be eligible for the Spring SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00.

Having won 104 Division II National Championships, the SSC's student-athletes have also proven to be successful in the classroom. For the seventh consecutive year, the SSC boasts an Academic Success Rate of 86 percent. The mark ranks first among all NCAA Division II conferences.
