Rain Alters Opening Day for Lynn’s Spring Sports

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's baseball and tennis programs were scheduled to host their respective season openers on campus this afternoon, Friday, Feb. 1, but today's steady rains have altered the plans.

The Lynn baseball game vs. Catawba, originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today at home, has been moved down to Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla., with a tentative start time of 4:30 p.m. this afternoon. The Bucs are hosting their own season opener today at 1 p.m., meaning Lynn's 4:30 start time could get pushed back.

The Fighting Knights men's and women's tennis teams were set to host St. Thomas (Fla.) tonight at 5 p.m. but the matches have been postponed and rescheduled. Lynn will now travel to St. Thomas in Miami Gardens, Fla., on Tuesday, Feb. 5, to take on the Bobcats with a 4 p.m. start time.
