Ron Davis joined Lynn University's athletic department in July of 2015 as the assistant to the director of athletics. He was promoted to director of athletic events in November of 2016 and named the Assistant Athletics Director for Administration on Feb. 12, 2018. Davis’ role revolves around assisting the athletic director in day-to-day operations while also overseeing all NCAA postseason competition and signature events for the department of athletics.
Since arriving at Lynn, Davis has been responsible for running the annual Robino Golf Tournament, which in 2016, 2017, and 2018, records were broken for the most-ever revenue raised for student-athlete scholarships.
Prior to coming to Lynn University, Davis served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions at Towson University. Initially, Davis was hired as a Student-Assistant for the Towson Tigers football team in 2009. Davis completed his service with the Towson Tigers football team as an offensive quality control coach during their runs to the 2012 Colonial Athletic Association Championship and 2013 Football Championship Series National Championship game.
At Towson, Davis also served as an athletics development intern for the Tiger Club/Tiger Athletic Fund. He completed his service at Towson University by helping start Towson’s Ticket Sales & Services Department in 2014. Davis got his start in athletics as an assistant junior varsity football coach for Calvert Hall College High School in 2008.
Davis was a wide receiver for the Frostburg State University Bobcats in 2005. He graduated from Towson University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies. Davis graduated from the University of Maryland University College in 2018 with Master of Science in Management.
He is native of Cockeysville, Md., and is a 2005 graduate of Dulaney High School.
