Jason Sangha joined Lynn University as the Athletics Coordinator in February of 2016 after an outstanding four-year playing career with the men’s soccer program. A double alumnus of Lynn, he will mentor the Fighting Knights’ student-athletes and help guide them to achieve success as a student and an athlete.
Part of Sangha’s duties will be to serve as the point of contact for the Faculty Athletic Representative and educate academic advisors of student-athletes schedules and needs. He will advise students on academic and vocational curriculum and on career issues by developing a career development student-athlete life skills course.
Additionally, he will maintain student-athlete attendance records and grades, prepare course materials for life skills and leadership courses, participate in campus and community events, act as an advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and serve as an academic coordinator for ‘at’risk student-athletes.
Sangha, a four-year defensive starter with the Fighting Knights, compiled a staggering 18 accolades over his career, which ranks second in school history. He became the second four-year All-American in men’s soccer program history, adding to his impressive haul which included becoming the first player in program history to win Sunshine State Conference Freshman and Defensive Player of the Year honors over a career.
An imposing player on the pitch, he led Lynn to three NCAA Division II National Championship appearances and took home national titles in 2012 and 2014. He is one of three players in program history, along with former teammates Simon Gubisch and Kerst Lehmann, to be a two-time national champion. In addition to his personal accolades, Sangha won three SSC regular season titles and one tournament title as the 2014 squad joined Lynn’s 2003 team as the only schools in conference history to win the regular season, tournament title and national title in the same year.
Sangha graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in marketing and a Master of Business Administration.
