BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's men's basketball team is nationally ranked for the first time since the 2014-15 season with the announcement of the D2SIDA National Media Poll on Tuesday afternoon. The Fighting Knights are slotted at the No. 18 spot.
Following a 6-0 start to the season, the Fighting Knights enter the national rankings this week with this season's fourth announcement of the poll. Lynn had not received any votes in the first three polls of the year.
The Blue and White have not been ranked in the nation's top-25 since the 2014-15 campaign, where they were in and out of the rankings for the majority of the season before making a run to the NCAA Sweet 16.
Regionally, Lynn is third behind No. 5 Valdosta State and No. 14 Nova Southeastern, but ahead of No. 25 Barry.
Bellarmine continues to hold the top-spot nationally with a 6-0 record and 395 total points in the poll.
The newest National Association of Basketball Coaches National Rankings were released today as well, but Lynn did not receive any votes.
