Men’s Basketball Jumps in National Rankings

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Despite not hitting the hardwood last week, Lynn University's men's basketball team moved up to No. 15 on the D2SIDA National Media Poll, announced Tuesday afternoon.

Following a 6-0 start to the season, the Fighting Knights entered the national rankings last week at No. 18 with the season's fourth announcement of the poll. Lynn had not received any votes in the first three polls of the year.

With today's announcement – the fifth poll of the season – Lynn still comes in with a 6-0 record, but moves up three spots for a tie at No. 15 with Missouri Southern.

The Blue and White had not been ranked in the nation's top-25 since the 2014-15 campaign, where they were in and out of the rankings for the majority of the season before making a run to the NCAA Sweet 16.

Regionally, Lynn is third behind No. 5 Valdosta State and No. 9 Nova Southeastern.

Bellarmine continues to hold the top-spot nationally with a 7-0 record and 370 total points in the poll.

The newest National Association of Basketball Coaches National Rankings were released today as well, with Lynn receiving two votes.
