Men’s Basketball Enters NABC National Rankings, Drops from D2SIDA Poll

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season over the weekend, but the National Association of Basketball Coaches deemed the Fighting Knights' 11-1 start to the 2018-19 campaign Top-25 worthy for the first time this year. The Blue and White debut in the NABC National Rankings this week at No. 21, the sixth poll of the season.

After winning the first 11 games of the season, the best start to a campaign for the program in 20 years, the Fighting Knights fell on the road at No. 7 Florida Southern on Saturday. Earlier in the week, Lynn defended its home court with an 84-76 league win over Saint Leo.

This is Lynn's first appearance in the NABC rankings since the 2014-15 season, where they were in and out of the rankings for the majority of the season before making a run to the NCAA Sweet 16.

Nova Southeastern represents the Sunshine State Conference at No. 4 with FSC one spot behind Lynn at No. 22.

Additionally, the Blue and White were dropped out of the national rankings on the D2SIDA National Media Poll, after having been featured in the last three announcements.

Bellarmine continues to hold the top spot in both polls with a 12-0 record.
