West Palm Beach, Fla. – Lynn University men’s basketball’s associate head coach Tae Norwood has been selected as the next head coach for the Keiser University Seahawk men’s basketball program, as announced on Wednesday afternoon. Norwood served as Jeff Price’s top-assistant over the last six seasons for the Fighting Knights, being named the NCAA Division II Assistant Coach of the Year in 2017-18.

Michael Baez of the Lynn University men’s basketball team picked up one more accolade to close out his successful two-year career in the blue and white as the senior was tabbed a Second Team All-South District selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Monday.

It was a special season for a special team and senior class but the magic ended Tuesday night as the 18th-ranked and third-seeded Lynn University men’s basketball team fell to fourth-ranked and top-seeded Nova Southeastern in the NCAA South Region Championship, 89-74. Michael Baez and Jamal Palmer were both named to the South Region All-Tournament Team.

The 18th-ranked and third-seeded Lynn University men’s basketball team is Sweet 16 bound for the first time in five years after upsetting Sunshine State Conference foe, second-seeded and 14th-ranked Florida Southern College, 88-78 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday. The Blue and White were led offensively by Michael Baez and Darius Moore, who were both perfect from long range, as the team had its best long-range shooting effort in nearly 10 years.
