Men’s Golf Tied for Third Place at Bobcat Invite

Eatonton, Ga. – Lynn University's men's golf team is tied for third after 36-holes at the Bobcat Invitational.  The Fighting Knights are nine-shots back of the lead as a team with Keith Greene shooting an even-par 140 and tied for eighth.

Greene shot a three-over par 73 in his first 18-holes but tied for the second-lowest round of the tournament with a three-under 67 over the second half of the day.  He is five-strokes behind Chandler Blanchet of West Florida.

Mateo Gomez posted a one-under par 69 in the morning, only to shoot a 73 in the latter part of the day.  His 142 has him tied with Jose Miranda, who carded rounds of 70-72, for 18th place.  Elliott Whitley and Martin Cancion logged opposite scorecards throughout the day, with a 73-71 for Whitley and a 73-71 for Cancino.  Both are tied for 34th.

Lynn is six-over par as a team at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee.  The Blue & White's 566 are nine shots back of leader Nova Southeastern (557).  Saint Leo has a slight advantage in second (565) with South Carolina-Aiken tied with Lynn (566).  Armstrong and Rollins (570) are tied for fifth.
