Greene Logs Top-10 Finish for Men’s Golf

Eatonton, Ga. – Lynn University's men's golf team earned its sixth consecutive top-5 finish after taking fourth at the Bobcat Invitational at the Cuscowilla Country Club.  Keith Greene placed in the top-10 for the sixth time this season with his second-lowest 54-hole total of the year.

The Fighting Knights posted a 297 team score on the final day but fell dropped to fourth after South Carolina-Aiken (855) jumped both Lynn (863) and Saint Leo (861) for second place.  Top-ranked Nova Southeastern took top honors with an 844 and Armstrong (875) bookended the top-five.

Greene carded a four-over par 214 for the tournament for a tie for seventh. He was one of the top golfers in the field in par 3 (E) and par 5 scoring (-2) and posted the 10th most birdies (9).  Jose Miranda shot a 73 in the third round to tie for 15th while Mateo Gomez finished two strokes behind his teammate with a 217 to tie for 21st.  The duo also tied for sixth by shooting +2 on par 4 holes.

Elliott Whitley and Martin Cancino rounded out the Lynn contingent.  Whitley shot 219 and Cancino 221 over the 54-holes.
