Denver, Colo. - Lynn University's second-ranked men's golf team took to the links at the DII National Preview for the firs time since finishing as the runners-up at the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship. The Fighting Knights are in sixth place out of 22 teams at the Green Valley Ranch Golf Course, site of the 2016 NCAA DII National Championship.
After posting a two-over par 290 in the opening round, the Blue & White shot an even par 288 over the next 18-holes. Their 578 is 19 shots back of the leader Chico State (559). Fellow Sunshine State Conference institutions Barry (567) and Nova Southeastern (574) are second and third, followed by CSU Monterey Bay (574) and Central Missouri (576).
Jose Andres Miranda posted the low 36-hole score on the day with consecutive rounds of 71. He sank seven birdies on the day and is tied for 12th individually. Elliott Whitley and Mateo Gomez are tied for 26th with Manuel Tores (150) tied for 67th and Andres Arango (151) is tied for 74th.
