Men’s Golf Takes Seventh at Guy Harvey Invite

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – Lynn University's men's golf team could not keep up with the pack and fell to seventh on the final day of the Guy Harvey Invitational.  Jose Miranda continued his steady play by shooting an even par 72 on the Champions Course of PGA National.

The Fighting Knights (881) posted a 303 team score on the final day and finished 17 shots behind winner Saint Leo (864).  The University of West Florida (871), Florida Southern (874), Johnson & Wales (875) and host Nova Southeastern (875) rounded out the top-five.

Miranda capped of a solid week of golf by firing a 54-hole total of 217, tying him for 13th place individually.  Elliott Whitley had an off day, but still finished two-over par for the tournament with a 218 total, taking 15th place.

Mateo Gomez and Manuel Torres each fired final rounds of 77 to close out play with scores of 222 and 225 while Martin Cancino shot a 230, respectively.  Lynn also had two golfers play as individuals with Andreas Tancred posting a 74 for a 228 total and Andres Arango ending his day with an 84.
