Men’s Golf Duo Tabbed PING Second Team All-Americans

Norman, Okla. – The celebration continues for the Lynn University men's golf program as Manuel Torres and Toto Gana have been selected as Golf Coaches Association of America/PING Second Team All-Americans, announced on Tuesday.

This is the fifth consecutive year the Fighting Knights have logged multiple All-America selections, the 11th straight season of at least one All-American and 21st overall. Under head coach Andrew Danna's leadership, Lynn has garnered 17 All-America honorees.

Torres becomes just the third Fighting Knight in program history to be a three-time All-American, following his third-team selections each of the past two years. He closes his career with the fourth-most rounds played (132), third-lowest career stroke average (72.06), second-most top-10 finishes (18) and third-most career tournament victories (3).

Torres saved his best season for last, posting a career-best 70.87 stroke average in 2017-18 – the second-lowest single-season mark in program history. The Caracas, Venezuela product co-led the squad with six top-10 finishes this season and was an All-Sunshine State Conference pick for the third straight year.

Gana had a breakthrough season during his sophomore campaign en route to his first career All-America selection, setting the program record for lowest single-season stroke average with a 70.75 on the year. Gana joined Torres with six top-10 finishes on the season and was also a Second Team All-SSC pick.

Through two years of competition, Gana is poised to leave his mark on the program as he enters his junior season with the lowest career stroke average (71.38) in program history while already ranking second in match play victories (5).
