Brous Clamps Third SSC Specialist Award

Melbourne, Fla. – For the second consecutive week and the third time this season, Dryden Brous from the Lynn University lacrosse team has been tabbed the Sunshine State Conference Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Brous had his best game to date for the Blue and White as the freshman shouldered every faceoff in the Fighting Knights' 13-8 victory over Saint Leo this weekend. Brous lined up for all 24 faceoffs in the game, controlling a career-high 19 for a 79.2 winning percentage. He also finished with a career-high-tying nine groundball pickups and tallied his third assist in the past two games with a helper on Lynn's first goal of the day.

Brous' 19 faceoff wins is two shy of the single-game school record. The Lions marched out four different players throughout the game to line up across from Brous with their starter finishing 2-of-6 on the day.

For the season, Brous holds an impressive 67.4 winning percentage at the X, ranking second in the SSC. He has the best percentage in the league out of players with at least 40 attempts on the year.

Lynn hits the road for its final game of the regular season, taking on Florida Southern on Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m. with a potential postseason spot on the line.
