Lacrosse Breaks into National Rankings at No. 18

Perry, N.Y. – Following a 2-0 week that included a big upset on the road over No. 10 Belmont Abbey, Lynn University's lacrosse team broke into the USILA Division II National Rankings this week, as announced by the organization on Monday.

After receiving votes in three of the first four polls so far this season, the Fighting Knights 7-1 record has finally given the squad the attention it deserves as they debut in the newest rankings at No. 18.

Lynn's 7-1 record is the best start to a season in program history.

Joining Lynn in the national rankings from the Sunshine State Conference is Tampa at No. 5 and Saint Leo at No. 10. Florida Southern and Rollins are both receiving votes.

Last season, the Blue and White were featured in the USILA national rankings for the first five weeks of the regular season, reaching as high as No. 12 in weeks two and three to mark a new program record.

Additionally, the Fighting Knights also debuted today in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Men's Top 20, claiming the No. 14 spot. Those rankings can be seen HERE.

Lynn opens up conference play this Saturday, March 24, on the road at Rollins College.
