Brous Clamps Third SSC Award of the Season

Melbourne, Fla. – For the third time this season and seventh time in his young career, sophomore faceoff specialist Dryden Brous of the Lynn University lacrosse team has been tabbed the Sunshine State Conference Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Brous set two single-game program records for Lynn this week as the Fighting Knights fell in a tight 14-12 battle to Florida Southern. He had a career night against the Mocs, taking all 30 faceoffs in the game for Blue and White. He won 23 and lost seven for a 76.7 winning percentage while picking up 17 ground balls.

Brous' 23 faceoffs wins are the most ever in a single game from a Fighting Knight. Vincent Genovesi held the high mark of 21 since March 25, 2015. Additionally, Brous' 17 ground balls surpassed the old program record of 15 set by Christopher D'Angelo on March 30, 2014, during the team's inaugural season.

On the year, the Ocean City, Md. product continues to lead the SSC and ranks second in the country in both faceoff percentage (76.6%) and ground balls per game (10.9).
