Men’s Soccer Opens 2018 Campaign Ranked No. 2 in the Nation

Kansas City, Mo. – Lynn University's men's soccer program will enter the 2018 season ranked No. 2 in the country, as announced in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) top-25 preseason poll released Tuesday. The Fighting Knights were runners-up at last season's NCAA Division II National Championship.

The Fighting Knights are the highest-ranked program from the Sunshine State Conference, joined by Palm Beach Atlantic at No. 9 and Tampa at No. 23.

Last year's national champion, Charleston, sits atop the poll in the No. 1 position. Rockhurst, Cal Poly Pomona and Midwestern State round out the top-5 after Lynn, respectively.

Slated to return and lead the charge for the Blue and White this year is 2016 South Region and SSC Player of the Year Jack Watson along with All-American defender Niklas Tasky.

Lynn opens the regular season at home on Friday, Aug. 31, against Christian Brothers at 6 p.m. View the team's full 2018 schedule HERE.
