Men’s Soccer Set to Host SSC Championship Opening Round

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2018 Sunshine State Conference Men's Soccer Tournament bracket has been set and Lynn University's men's soccer team will host Florida Southern in the opening round on Monday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. at Bobby Campbell Stadium.

Palm Beach Atlantic claimed the regular season title and the No. 1 seed while Barry secured the No. 2 seed following a series of tiebreakers with Lynn and Nova Southeastern.  Both PBA and Barry will receive a first-round bye.

Lynn landed the No. 3 seed and will get a rematch against No. 6 seed Florida Southern. The two squads met on Sept. 15 in Boca with the Moccasins stealing a 2-1 overtime victory over the Fighting Knights.  The winner of Monday's matchup travels to Barry for a Thursday, Nov. 1, tilt.

Nova Southeastern earned the No. 4 seed and hosts Florida Tech on Oct. 29.  The victor of this match gets to face Palm Beach Atlantic in West Palm Beach on Thursday, Nov. 1.

The highest remaining seed will host the 2018 SSC Championship final on Sunday, Nov. 4.  The winner receives an automatic qualification to the 2018 NCAA Division II Soccer Championships, starting Thursday, Nov. 8, at non-predetermined sites.
