Men’s Tennis Jumps to No. 3 in National Rankings

Tempe, Ariz. – Following an undefeated start to the 2018 season, Lynn University's men's tennis team has moved up to No. 3 this week with the latest release of the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II National Team Rankings.

The No. 3 ranking is the highest the Fighting Knights have been voted since the second poll of the 2013 season.

Lynn debuted at No. 6 this season in the initial preseason rankings released on Jan. 17.

The Blue and White are 5-0 overall to kick off the season with wins over No. 11 Flagler, No. 16 Rollins and a key upset over then-No. 4 Valdosta St. The triumph over Rollins has the Fighting Knights sitting at 1-0 in Sunshine State Conference play.

A national rankings panel voted on the Top 25 teams, and will do so through the month of February. The computerized rankings will then take over and debut on March 21, 2018, with national team, singles and doubles rankings.

There was one new entry to the men's Top 10, with Flagler College sliding up to No. 9 from No. 11 in January. The University of Hawai'i at Hilo entered the rankings for the first time this season, checking in at No. 15. Wingate University and Concordia College (NY) were also new entries this month, at No. 24 and No. 25, respectively.
