Men’s Tennis to Open Season No. 3 in the Nation

Tempe, Ariz. – The first Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings of the 2019 season were released this week with Lynn University's men's tennis squad claiming the No. 3 spot in Division II.

Lynn produced a 17-7 record in 2018 while securing its first trip to the NCAA national tournament since 2012. Four of last season's starting six are expected to return to this year's lineup.

Columbus State and Barry, the two teams in last year's national championship match, occupy the top-two spots in the rankings, respectively. After Lynn, West Florida and Lander round out the top five. The Sunshine State Conference is also represented by No. 7 Saint Leo, No. 16 Embry-Riddle and No. 19 Palm Beach Atlantic.

The preseason individual national rankings for singles and doubles were released on Nov. 21, featuring Lynn's Jose Porfirio Ordonez (#38) and Kay Bartmann (#43) in the singles national rankings.

Lynn opens up the season at home vs. St. Thomas on Friday, Feb. 1.
