Men’s Cross Country’s Dobbs Receives All-SSC Honors

Melbourne, Fla. – After placing 12th overall at the Sunshine State Conference Championship meet on Nov. 3, Lynn University's Hunter Dobbs of the men's cross country team has been named Second Team All-SSC, as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.

Dobbs led the Lynn contingent in the race with a time of 26:16.42 to help the team place fifth overall in the team's inaugural season. Dobbs has been in the top-three of Lynn's finishers in all of the squad's races this year.

Embry-Riddle's Shaun Bullock was named SSC Male Runner of the Year while his teammate Ryan Szlany has been named Freshman of the Year. The Eagles' head coach, Mike Rosalino, was named SSC Coach of the Year.

Six Embry-Riddle runners received All-SSC honors as the Eagles took first place overall at the meet. Senior Dean McGregor of Florida Southern received his fourth All-SSC honor.

The league's coaches vote on the Runner, Freshman and Coach of the Year. Runners who finish in the top-14 at the cross country championship meet earn All-SSC status, with the top seven making the first team.
