HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • A fourth inning solo home run by Victoria Gonzalez was all the offense needed in the game, putting Palm Beach Atlantic ahead 1-0.
  • The Fighting Knights threatened in the bottom half of the frame with Sara Vazquez and Francais Olexa reaching second and third base with no outs.  Unfortunately, Lynn popped up, saw its squeeze attempt fall short and then ended the inning with a ground out.

STATS OF THE GAME:

  • Francais Olexa took the loss despite allowing only one run in seven innings of work with one strikeout and no walks.
  • Lynn's four hits came from Vazquez, Olexa, Victoria Rios and Elizabeth Diaz.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • Lynn's two stolen bases were the most in a game since the squad swiped three bases in the season-opener.
  • Olexa earned her 10th consecutive complete game.
