BOCA RATON, Florida – Lynn University Director of Athletics Devin Crosby announced Jill Moore has been named interim head softball coach on Monday. Moore inherits a program that has won at least 20 games in four of the last five seasons.
"I'm excited to follow the softball program's progress under Jill's leadership," said Crosby. "Lynn's pitching staff has continually improved each year under her stewardship while Jill has established sincere relationships with her student athletes. Her tireless recruiting, hard work and trust are all attributes of Spirt, Service and Strength."
Moore joined the Fighting Knights as an assistant in August of 2012 and helped guide the team to 20-win seasons in four of the last five years. Additionally, Lynn's team earned-run average in 2017 and 2018 both rank in the top-10 in program history and she has coached three All-Sunshine State Conference pitchers.
The Pittsburgh, Pa., native takes over for Amy Bellisari, who moved on to become the assistant coach for the NCAA Division I University of Delaware Blue Hens.
