Women's Basketball Falls to Sailfish

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Lynn University's women's basketball team fell 74-51 to Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday afternoon in their first loss of the season.  Tifani Kerrison led all Fighting Knights scorers with 12 points and six rebounds while Zachara Bailey knocked down 10 points going 4-of-4 from the free throw line. 
 
The Fighting Knights (4-1) started the game slow, allowing the Sailfish (3-4) to race out to an early 15-7 lead leaving Lynn to play catch up for the majority of the first half. Lynn fought back cutting the deficit to 11 at one point, but PBA went on a seven point rally to end the period 37-22.

LU came out fired up in the second half starting with 11 consecutive points putting them back in the game but, the back and forth battle would end in favor of the Sailfish.
 
Charla Nelson-James and Tylar Tracy each had eight points in the game. Additionally, Lynn shot 63 percent from the charity stripe.
