Women's Basketball Slips at No. 14 Rollins

Winter Park, Fla.- Lynn University's women's basketball team fell to 14th-ranked Rollins on Wednesday night in the Warden Arena. The Fighting Knights fall to 11-12 overall and 4-9 in Sunshine State Conference play while the Tars improve to 22-4 and 11-3 in the SSC. Lynn was led by Isidora Madzarevic who had a team-high 12 points.

Rollins took an early lead by three-point shots from Zachara Bailey and Madzarevic kept Lynn close. A pair of free throws from Tylar Tracy at 13:03 would put the Fighting Knights within one, 13-12. The Tars took a nine point lead, 31-22, with 5:05 to play in the first half. Lynn would end the half on a 6-2 run to head into the locker rooms down, 37-28. 

Lynn shot 33.3 percent in the first half and was led by Bailey who was 2-for-3 from three-point range with a team-high six points. RC shot 41.5 percent from the floor while pulling down 32 rebounds, 15 offensive. 

Lynn would slowly chip away at Rollin's lead, closing the gap to eight with a trey by Madzarevic at 15:16. Lakendra Jones would make a layup at 13:37 but would be fouled on the play. Sharneka McCatty would get the put-back on the missed free throw to cut Lynn's deficit to four, 44-40. Rollins would end the game on a 10-0 run over the final seven minutes to sweep the season series, 2-0. 

The Fighting Knights shot 32.1 percent in the second half with Madzarevic leading with nine points. The Tars shot 33.3 percent and pulled down 24 rebounds in the final frame. Tracy chipped in seven points, four rebounds and three blocks while McCatty had nine points and two rebounds.
