Women’s Basketball Victorious in Midseason Exhibition

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's women's basketball team hosted Webber International on Wednesday night in an exhibition contest as the Fighting Knights topped the Warriors, 78-54. Kelsi Fizer posted a strong double-double while Kevyn McKae led all scorers with 17 points.

STATS OF THE GAME:

  • Fizer was a force down low, registering 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting. She led all rebounders with 13 while tacking on a team-high-tying six assists and two blocks.
  • McKae was hot from the jump, going 3-for-3 from long range in the first quarter. She finished with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting with three boards, a steal and a block.
  • Christina Potts was the final Fighting Knight in double figures with 10 points, including two triples.
  • Jaylen Snipes matched Fizer's team-best six helpers and added nine points.
  • Dani Lozzi swiped four of the team's nine steals while Juju Uloma logged 10 rebounds and five assists.
  • Meagan Shanahan went 5-for-6 at three free-throw line in her seven-point, four-rebound effort.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • Neither team's records are affected by the outcome of the exhibition.
  • All 10 Fighting Knights dressed saw action in the game.
  • McKae had never scored in double figures in a Blue and White uniform.
  • Lynn has yet to lose a game at home this season.
  • The Fighting Knights scored over 70 points for the first time this season.
