Saint Leo, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s basketball team secured a big win on the road, limiting the Saint Leo Lions to 32.0 percent shooting on its way to a gritty 55-49 win in Sunshine State Conference (SSC) play. Christina Potts dropped a career-high 21 points to lead the Fighting Knights, going 6-for-9 from the field.

Boca Raton, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s basketball team couldn’t find its home-court magic on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Eckerd University Tritons 71-56 in Sunshine State Conference (SSC) play. Christina Potts led the Fighting Knights in scoring, posting 14 points off the bench.

Lynn University’s women’s basketball team was plagued by a cold-shooting night and an outstanding individual performance from Palm Beach Atlantic’s Jonika Garvin, falling to PBA on the road 67-45 on Wednesday evening. Kevyn McKae, Loie Webb and Kelsi Fizer led the Fighting Knights with eight points each, accounting for all four of Lynn’s three-point makes and over half of the team’s overall points.

Women’s Basketball Outlasted in Overtime by Barry

The Lynn University women’s basketball team mounted a furious fourth-quarter comeback to force overtime, but ultimately came up just short, falling to Barry 90-89 in front of a raucous crowd at the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center. Janay Williams, whose put-back tied the game with four seconds remaining in regulation, led the way for the Fighting Knights with 11 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.

Second Half Struggles Doom Women’s Basketball at Tampa

Tampa, Fla. – Down just one point at halftime in a pivotal road matchup in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC), Lynn University’s women’s basketball team was unable to keep up with host-Tampa in the final two quarters, falling by a final score of 63-43. Kelsi Fizer and Jaylen Snipes were the lone Lynn players in double-figures, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively.
