SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s basketball team was defeated by the Eckerd College Tritons on the road in the opening round of the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Basketball Championship on Wednesday evening, 76-55.
Lynn University student-athletes Dani Lozzi and Florian Clemares picked up Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Lozzi was tabbed the women’s basketball SSC Defensive Player of the Week while Clemares was named the SSC Player of the Week for men’s tennis.
Mahogany Hall made sure her Senior Day would be one for the books on Saturday afternoon, leading the Fighting Knights to a win over the University of Tampa in their final regular season home game. Hall scored a career-high nine points in a season-high 24 minutes of action.
Miami Shores, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s basketball team may be finding its late-season stride as it earned its second consecutive victory in Sunshine State Conference (SSC) play, downing Barry on the road 63-61. Dani Lozzi and Christina Potts led the Fighting Knights on offense with 14 points each.
Melbourne, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s basketball team needed a big road win to get itself back on track and delivered that on Saturday afternoon, defeating Florida Tech 50-49 in Sunshine State Conference (SSC) play. Freshman marksman Loie Webb poured in a team-high 18 points on 5-of-7 shooting from deep.
Boca Raton, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s basketball team was downed by the visiting Sharks of Nova Southeastern University on Wednesday evening at home, falling 83-61. Kelsi Fizer and Uloma Enyogasi led the way for the Fighting Knights, scoring 16 points each to pace the offensive effort.
