Cole a Merry Old Soul in Women’s Soccer Victory

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's offense came alive for the second consecutive game with the women's soccer team knocking off Webber International 5-0 on Monday night at Bobby Campbell Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Donish Cole scored the first of her three goals 1:30 into the match and the women's soccer team never looked back.
  • Cole scored again in the 31st and 36th minutes, giving her a team-high six goals on the season.
  • Claudia Kraut Kraut found the back of the net at 50:05 off a header from an Emily Weisberg corner kick.
  • Katie Horton ended the scoring with a shot to the upper right corner of the goal in the 70th minute.
  • Webber had its best chance to get on the board in the 41st minute but Alexa Downie made a punch save to keep the clean sheet.


STAT OF THE GAME:

  • Donish Cole scored three goals in the 1st half.
  • Lynn posted its first shutout of the season.
  • The Fighting Knights outshot the Warriors 20-12.


BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • This is the first time since 2008 the women's soccer team has had more than one hat trick in a season.
  • Reigning Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week Emily Weisberg added her second assist of the season.
