Kansas City, Kan. – Lynn University women's soccer player Donish Cole was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as a Third Team All-South Region selection on Thursday. She becomes the fourth Lynn player since 1996 to collect all-region recognition as a freshman.
A redshirt freshman from Boca Raton, Fla., Cole led the team and ranked in the top-15 in the Sunshine State Conference in goals (6), points (15), points per game and goals per game. Her 15 points were the most by a member of the Blue & White since 2012. Cole also logged a hat trick in the squad's 5-0 victory over Webber International, capping off a streak of four consecutive games with a goal.
She joins Melissa Ortiz (2008), Piper Seaman (2001) and Marie Kolbert (1996) as all-region honorees in their freshman campaign with the Blue & White.
