Following a doubles title at last weekend's ITA Regional Championships, Diana Bogolii and Rosalie Willig were granted a first-round bye in the 'A' flight before posting an 8-0 victory to secure a spot in tomorrow's championship match.

The second doubles bracket is guaranteed a champion in the Blue & White as both Lynn tandems won two matches to meet each other in Saturday's final. Carolina Cuevas and Tania Alaby won by identical 8-4 scores in the opening two rounds while Alina Jane and Martina Gledacheva won 8-3 following a first-round bye.

The dominance carried over into singles action. Bogolii received the only bye in the top singles flight and Willig grabbed a 6-2, 6-0 victory. Gledacheva was the only Lynn competitor in the 'B' flight and cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 triumph.

Jane also shutout her opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the third flight with Cuevas winning 6-2, 6-0 on the other side of the bracket. Alaby won her opening match in the 'D' bracket, 6-2, 6-1.

The action resumes Saturday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. For more information on the women's tennis program at Lynn University, log on to LynnFightingKnights.com. Don't forget to 'Like' us on Facebook and follow @Lynn_Knights on Twitter and Instagram.
