  • Women’s Tennis Falls to South Florida Foe in NCAA National Championship Final

    Lynn University’s women’s tennis team was on the doorstep of the ultimate goal on Saturday morning but was unable to get past high-powered Barry University. The third-ranked Fighting Knights found themselves in an early hole, ultimately suffering at 5-0 defeat to the second-ranked Bucs in the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship match.

    Lynn University’s third-ranked women’s tennis squad appeared in top form on Friday morning in the NCAA Division II National Semifinals. The Fighting Knights commanded doubles play before sweeping No. 6 Hawaii Pacific University, 5-0, to secure a spot in tomorrow’s national championship match against Barry University.

    As the heat turns up, so does the play of the Fighting Knights. Lynn University’s third-ranked women’s tennis team made quick work of a talented Columbus St. squad on Thursday morning in the NCAA Division II National Quarterfinals. The Blue and White posted a 5-0 triumph over the fourth-ranked Cougars and now advance to the Final Four for the first time since 2011.
  • Singles Bottom Half Carries No. 3 Women’s Tennis in NCAA Sweet 16 Bout

    Straight-set wins from the bottom half of Lynn University’s singles lineup on Wednesday helped the third-ranked Fighting Knights clinch a 5-1 victory over 13th-ranked University of Indianapolis in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship. Following a 2-1 advantage after doubles, the Blue and White closed out the match at the four, five and six singles flights to make their return to the national quarterfinals.
  • Women’s Tennis Pulls NCAA Round of 16 Opponent

    The women's tennis NCAA Division II National Championship bracket has been set, with Lynn University's third-ranked Fighting Knights matched up against 13th-ranked University of Indianapolis in the Round of 16. Lynn heads to Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla. on Monday, with tennis action set to commence on Wednesday, May 10.
  • Lynn University Fighting Knights raises over $100,000 at 25th Annual Robino Golf Tournament

    Lynn University received a record number of donations and pledges at the 25th anniversary of its Robino Golf Tournament on April 24. The Fighting Knights’ largest fundraiser of the year raised $101,895 for athletic scholarships.

    Rosalie Willig finishes her Lynn University women’s tennis career as an eight-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection with the league’s announcement of the 2017 awards on Friday. Willig and Grace Mpassy notched All-SSC First Team nods in both singles and doubles while Stefanie Stemmer and Diana Bogolii earn separate All-SSC First Team honors in doubles.

    Lynn University's second-ranked women's tennis team drew the second seed in the South Region on Tuesday evening and will serve as the host site for the South Regional #2 bracket this upcoming Monday and Tuesday at the Perper Tennis Complex.     In what appeared to be a slight sense of déjà vu, Lynn University’s second-ranked and second-seeded women’s tennis team went match-for-match with the third-ranked and top-seeded Barry University Buccaneers in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament title match for the second year in a row. Following an intense 4-4 tie, the championship came down to the final singles match on Sunday, but unlike last year, the Bucs came away with the 5-4 victory.

    Lynn University’s women’s tennis team was off to a good start Saturday afternoon in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament Championship match, building a 2-1 lead through doubles play before the rain started.
