Women’s Tennis Opens up 2018 Fall Slate in West Palm

West Palm Beach, Fla. – A quartet of players from Lynn University's women's tennis team kicked off the 2018 fall season on Friday at the PBA Sailfish Invitational.

DOUBLES DRAW:
#1 Doubles Flight

  • Both of the Fighting Knights' doubles pairs competed in the top draw, but neither team won their opening match.
  • Eliska Petrackova and Anastacia Parkin first fell to Vicens Miquel/Bukina of Saint Leo in a tight match, 8-6, before knocking off Bolagay/Reich from PBA in the back draw, 8-3.
  • Eleonora Liga and Federica Mordegan fell to squads from ASA College (Miami) and Saint Leo.
  • Petrackova and Parkin will compete in the fifth-place match of the #1 doubles flight on Sunday with Liga and Mordegan playing in the seventh-place match.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • All four Fighting Knights in action on Friday are returners from the 2017-18 squad.
