Women’s Tennis Doubles Pair Still Alive at ITA Regional

Lakeland, Fla. – Lynn University's women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of competition on Saturday at the ITA South Region Championships. With a victory, Federica Mordegan and Eliska Petrackova advanced to the quarterfinal round of the doubles draw.

SINGLES DRAW:
Third Round

  • Mordegan was the only Fighting Knight still active in the singles draw following the first two rounds of play on Friday but she was knocked out on Saturday with a 6-2, 6-3 loss to third-seeded Ana Navas from Nova Southeastern.

DOUBLES DRAW:
Second Round

  • Petrackova and Mordegan are into the doubles quarterfinals following an 8-6 victory over Stearman/Thomas from Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • Lynn has won the South Region doubles title five times in the past seven years.
