Jeanjean Garners SSC Player of the Week Plaudits

Melbourne, Fla. – Leolia Jeanjean of the Lynn University women's tennis team was tabbed the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

It is the second consecutive week the Fighting Knights won women's tennis Player of the Week (Natalia Siedliska) and the first honor for Jeanjean since joining the squad this season.

Jeanjean won all four of her matches at the top positions this week to help the second-ranked Lynn women's tennis team to victories in each of its contests. The Fighting Knights first took down No. 16 Rollins in SSC action, 7-0, before going on the road and dispatching Flagler, 4-0.

Against the Tars, Jeanjean and Siedliska teamed up for a dominant 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles before Jeanjean posted a 6-2, 6-1 singles triumph at the top singles flight.

Jeanjean and Siedliska then logged a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles in the match at Flagler, before Jeanjean controlled her No. 1 singles bout against the Saints in a 6-0, 6-0 win.

The senior out of Montpellier, France is undefeated in both doubles and singles so far this season, with all of her matches at the top positions, while the Fighting Knights sit at 6-0 overall on the year.
