Redwine Named SSC Defensive Player of the Week

Winter Park, Fla. – For the third time this season, Lynn University volleyball's Lacy Redwine has been named the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week announced the league office.  Redwine helped the Fighting Knights go 3-0 last week and holdopponents to just a .130 hitting percentage.

Redwine collected 92 digs in the three games, averaging out to 8.4 digs per set.  The senior libero began the week with 30 digs in a three-setsweep over Florida Tech.  She then posted 29 digs in a 3-0 victory over Saint Leo and concluded the week with 33 digs in a five-set thriller over Flagler.

A native of New Braunfels, Texas, Redwine surpassed Shelby Vollmer ('04) for second on Lynn's all-time career digs list and now has 1,656 in her career.  

Lynn travels to Lakeland, Fla. for the South Region Crossover where it will take on North Alabama and West Florida on Friday, October 15 at 10 am and 12:30 pm, respectively.  The following day, the Fighting Knights will take on West Alabama at 1 pm.
