Brianna Cox Earns Regional Recognition

Boca Raton, Fla. – The Daktronics All-South Region Volleyball Teams were announced today with Lynn University being represented by Brianna Cox, earning second team honors. The senior also earned All-Sunshine State Conference second team, which was announced yesterday. 

The Lancaster, Calif. native broke her Lynn-record of solo blocks in a season with 22, topping her previous of 19. She also had 85 assisted blocks, sixth highest in Fighting Knight history, for a total of 107 total blocks, good for fourth best all-time. Cox's total blocks were tied for highest in the Sunshine State Conference and the average of 1.03 per set was second best.

Cox led the Fighting Knights in most offensive categories including total kills (268), kills per set (2.58), and kills percentage (.311). All three stats are in their respected top-10 for single season records at Lynn.

The middle blocker finished her career ranked fourth all-time at Lynn in blocks per set with .91, her 125 total blocks ranks her 11 with the Fighting Knights all-time greats.

Lynn University finished up the 2012 campaign with a 15-13 overall record and a 5-11 SSC record.
