Volleyball Serves it up at Honda Classic

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – The Lynn University volleyball team was on site for professional golfer Adam Scott's victory at the Honda Classic this past weekend at the PGA National Resort and Spa as the Fighting Knights squad volunteered their time on Sunday working concessions for the national event.

The Blue & White, along with assistant coach Lydee Benoit Plexico, arrived at the course bright and early on Sunday morning, spending the day distributing food and beverages to the tournament's spectators.

All of the proceeds will go to the Quantum House, a facility in Palm Beach County that provides lodging for families who have a child receiving care for a medical condition.

"We used our team work and communication skills working the concessions at the Honda Classic this past weekend," junior outside hitter Cristina Llorens said. "We had the chance to help the people working at the event, while also getting an opportunity to walk around and enjoy the festivities afterwards. It was fun to see how everything is easier working as a team, not only on the court but also in different environments."
