  • Lynn University Fighting Knights raises over $100,000 at 25th Annual Robino Golf Tournament

    Lynn University received a record number of donations and pledges at the 25th anniversary of its Robino Golf Tournament on April 24. The Fighting Knights’ largest fundraiser of the year raised $101,895 for athletic scholarships.

    Lynn University head volleyball coach Adam Milewski has announced the hiring of Flavia Siqueira as the program’s new assistant coach. Siqueira joins the Blue and White family following a six-year stint as head coach of women’s volleyball at the College of Central Florida.

Tandron was tabbed as a Division II First Team Academic All-American, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

    Nicol Colonna of the Lynn University volleyball team was announced as an All-Tournament Team selection this weekend at the NCAA South Regional. The sixth-seeded Fighting Knights made their first postseason appearance since 2010 but couldn’t pull off the upset against No. 3 seed and 23rd-ranked University of Tampa in the quarterfinal round.

    Lynn University’s volleyball team was unable to find a way to build off momentum from a first-set victory on Thursday afternoon as the Fighting Knights fell to 23rd-ranked University of Tampa in the NCAA South Region Quarterfinals, 3-1. The Blue and White close out the 2016 campaign with a 20-11 record, marking their sixth 20-plus win season and the first since 2010.

    The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its Division II All-Region teams on Wednesday with Lynn University represented by two Fighting Knights. Seniors Marissa Tandron and Lydia West were selected to the 14-member first team to earn All-South Region honors.

    Senior Cristina Llorens threw down a career-high 23 kills and recorded her third consecutive double-double on Saturday but it was not enough as the Lynn University volleyball team fell at Embry-Riddle in its final match of the regular season, 3-1. Additionally, senior Katie Knight moved into second place all-time in program history for career service aces.

    Lynn University's volleyball team notched a 3-1 victory over Rollins College on Friday night in the squad's final Sunshine State Conference match of the year. The Fighting Knights conclude the regular-season conference slate with an 11-5 record, tying the program's all-time mark for most SSC wins in a season. Additionally, Marissa Tandron broke the program's 15-year-old single season assist record, recording No. 1,263 and counting.

    Senior Claire Angelich and junior Nicol Colonna shined on Friday night as the Lynn University volleyball team downed the Sunshine State Conference’s first-place team, Saint Leo, by a final of 3-2 in an exciting bout at home. In addition to Angelich’s career-high-tying 18 kills, she broke another school record (career blocks) while Colonna recorded a career-high 27 digs with 16 kills.

    Lynn University’s volleyball team was handed a 3-0 setback by 12th-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic at home Tuesday night. The nonconference defeat drops the Blue and White to 12-7 while the Sailfish pick up their 16th straight victory.
