MELBOURNE, Fla. – Lynn University volleyball continues to be the story of the opening weeks of Sunshine State Conference play. As a team, they have jumped out to a 4-0 start and following the announcement of Marnie Kinna being named Offensive Player of the Week, they have nearly matched that number with awards received.
Kinna started the week by spearheading an 0-2 comeback at Nova Southeastern. She posted a match-high 18 kills and added 13 digs, which was good for second-most in the match. That performance pushed her double-double streak to four and she came within one ace of posting a triple-double against the Sharks. Those nine aces are a new program record for a five-set match.
On Saturday, she helped Lynn stay unbeaten in conference play with 12 more kills and eight additional digs. Kinna remained a force from the service line posting three more aces.
