WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Lynn University men's and women's swimming teams defeated Ave Maria, but lost to Keiser in a tri-meet, Saturday. The meet started on Friday at Lynn with the first 16 events and concluded on Saturday at Keiser with the final 16.
The Fighting Knights finished the final 16 events with four second-place finishes and seven third-place efforts. Lynn defeated Ave on the women's side 109-15, while the Fighting Knight men won 88-55.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn opened Saturday's meet with a second and third place showing in the 200-yard medley relay
- The men's team of
Sebastian Leslie, Joe Cirame,
Owen Pogwist and
Ethan Engelhardt finished runner-up in 1:40.91
- The women's relay team of
Olivia Flack,
Noelle Profeta,
Julia Delaney and
Trisha Filimoehala captured third place in 2:00.27
- Individually, Flack and Leslie each posted a runner-up showing
- Flack was second in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.02, while Leslie was second in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:12.75

Caroline Maley added a second-place effort in the 200-yard backstroke (2:21.44)

Kayla Gonzalez was third in the 500-yard free in 5:32.22

Katie Ottaviano finished in third place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:42.45
- Cirame registered third in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:24.43

Jasim Abu-Dan was third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:2178)
- Lynn capped the afternoon with a pair of third-place finishes in the 400-yard freestyle relay
- Flack, Gonzalez, Filimoehala and
Julia Delaney captured third in 3:56.22
- Leslie, Pogwist, Engelhardt and
Ben Katzbeck finished in third at 3:26.18
