SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 16 Lynn University women's swimming team defeated Saint Leo 119-81, Friday afternoon, while the Fighting Knight men endured a 134.5-70.5 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lynn women captured six wins in total, while the men picked up one victory and five runner-up showings
- Graduate student Helga Fodor won both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle
- Senior Luna Mertins posted a victory in the 200-yard backstroke
- Sophomore Mathilde Bartolini earned a win in the 200 freestyle and third in the breaststroke
- Sophomore Laura Dekoninck added a second-place showing in the 50 free and third in the 100 freestyle
- The 400 freestyle relay team of Dekoninck, Mertins, junior Kynda Green and senior Shachaf Bachar picked up the win, while the 400 medley relay team of Mertins, Fodor, graduate student Karolina Smylek and graduate Claudia Porta also posted a victory
 
- Sophomore Kamil Piotrowicz picked up a win for the Fighting Knight men in the 200 breaststroke and added third place in the 200 IM
- Senior Malek Masmoudi finished second in both the 500 and 1,000 freestyles
- Senior Dalton Brown finished in second place in the 100 freestyle and third in the 50 freestyle
- The Lynn men also added a pair of second-place finishes in the relays
- Brown, graduate Julian Chan Quee Lin, sophomore Georgi Tsurev and freshman Spencer Hobbs took second in the 400 freestyle relay
- Tsurev, Piotrowicz, Masmoudi, Chan Quee Lin posted second in the 400 medley relay
