Men suffer loss at No. 10 Florida Southern

LAKELAND, Fla. – The Lynn University men's swimming team totaled a win and four second-place finishes in a 189-72 loss at No. 10 Florida Southern, Saturday.
 
The Fighting Knights collected over 30-top fives finishes in their third Sunshine State Conference meet of the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore Kamil Piotrowicz posted the only win for the Fighting Knights on the day with first place in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.04
- Sophomore Georgi Tsurev posted second place in both the 100 (52.58) and 200-yard backstrokes (1:55.99)
- Graduate Julian Chan Quee Lin finished in second in the 50 freestyle (22.17) and third in the 100 freestyle (49.11)
- Tsurev and Chan Quee Lin joined senior Dalton Brown and senior Malek Masmoudi for second place in the meet-closing 400 freestyle relay in 3:11.30
- Individually, Masmoudi was third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:14.27 and fourth in the 100 butterfly in 52.59
- Brown recorded a pair of third-place efforts in the 50 (22.90) and 200 freestyle (1:50.81)
- Tsurev, Masmoudi, Chan Quee Lin and Piotrowicz opened the meet with third place in the 200 medley relay at 1:36.03

- Lynn is set to host No. 5 ranked Tampa next Saturday at 10:00 am
