BOCA RATON, Fla. –  The Lynn University men's and women's swimming teams closed their regular-season with 12 wins against Rollins on Senior Day, Saturday at McCusker Pool.
 
Despite the double-digit wins, the Fighting Knight women suffered a 157-105 loss, while the men fell 169-93 to the Tarns.
 
Both Fighting Knight programs honored 12 seniors prior to the meet – Dalton Brown, Karolina Smylek, Augustus Olivieri, Noelle Profeta, Jasim Abu-Dan, Brecca Hawkins, Brad Jacobs, Helga Fodor, Julian Chan Quee Lin, Kynda Green, Joshua Fountain and Luna Mertins. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
- The Fighting Knights finished with 10 individual wins and two relay wins
-  Mertins and Fodor combined for five wins to lead the women's squad
- Mertins captured the win in the 50-yard freestyle (24.37), the 200 backstroke (2:08.72) and the 100 butterfly (57.33)
- Fodor took the win in both the 100 backstroke (57.95) and the 100 freestyle (52.32) and posted third in the 100 butterfly (58.29)
- Mertins also helped the 200 medley relay team to a win to open the meet with a time of 1:48.01. She was joined by Smylek, Claudia Porta and Laura Dekoninck
- Meanwhile, Fodor helped the 400 freestyle relay team to a win in 3:34.67. She was joined by Dekoninck, Shachaf Bachar and Mathilde Bartolini
- Bartolini won the 200 freestyle at 1:55.17
- Dekoninck recorded a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100 freestyle (53.65) and the 200 freestyle (1:59.37)
- Porta posted second place in the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.52
- Malek Masmoudi, Georgi Tsurev, Chan Quee Lin and Brown led the way for the Fighting Knight men
- Masmoudi won the 500 freestyle in 4:38.92 and finished runner-up in both the 1,000 freestyle (9:42.30) and the 200 butterfly (1:57.19)
- Tsurev touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke (51.85) and was third in both the 50 freestyle (21.69) and the 100 butterfly (51.46)
- Chan Quee Lin won the 200 freestyle in 1:41.93
- Masmoudi joined, Chan Quee Lin, Brown and Spencer Hobbs for second in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:06.62
- Tsurev joined Chan Quee Lin, Brown and Kamil Piotrowicz for second place in the 200 medley relay at 1:34.59
- Chan Quee Lin won the 200 freestyle at 1:41.93
- Brown took first in the 100 freestyle at 46.91 and second in the 50 freestyle at 21.53
- Ignacio Alvarez was third in the 100 breaststroke in 59.03 and Mike Sickels was third in the 200 backstroke in 1:55.61
