MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its weekly award winners on Monday and Lynn University graduate student Ciara Moorman has been selected as the Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

Moorman, a goalkeeper from Parkville, Md., helped the Fighting Knights to a 2-0 week with wins over No. 20 New Haven (12-9) and Kutztown (13-11).
 
Moorman played 45 minutes and picked up the win over New Haven after stopping eight shots. She followed with 12 saves, including a caused turnover late in the game to help secure the win over Kutztown.
 
Moorman is undefeated on the season with 30 saves and a 4-0 overall record.
 
Lynn returns to action on Wednesday, Mar. 29 when it hosts Flagler at 4:00 pm.
