Gianmarco Amatiste and
Haktan Garayev each won their respective singles matches as the 10
th-ranked Lynn men's tennis team fell to Valdosta State, 4-2, Saturday. The Fighting Knights fall to 4-3 on the spring, while the Blazers open at 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn trailed 3-0 after losing the doubles point and first and second singles
- Garayev brought the score to 3-1 when he defeated Pedro Cordeiro in No. 6 singles 6-4, 6-3
- Amatiste pulled the Fighting Knights to within one point at 3-2 after beating Christian Wedel 6-2, 7-6 (7-1)
- The Blazers captured the match 4-2 when Lamar Bartley downed freshman
Yaron Guberman at third singles, 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 6-0
- Valdosta opened the match with doubles wins in the first and third flights
- Luca Mack and Rodrigo Carvalho won the first flight, 6-2, over Garayev and sophomore
Gabriele Felline
- Christian Wedel and Pedro Cordeiro collected a 6-3 win over Guberman and freshman
