BOCA RATON, Fla. - No. 15 Lynn men's tennis was edged by No. 18 Rollins, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at the Perper Tennis Complex. The Fighting Knights win streak ends at four, while dropping to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights took one out of three in doubles play
- The tandem of sophomore Gabriele Felline and freshman Yaron Guberman defeated their #3 doubles opponents, 6-4
- Lynn and Rollins split their singles matches at three wins apiece
- Sophomore Gianmarco Amatiste won #4 singles 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4) to improve to 10-3 in singles play this season
- Freshman Ray Chavez won #5 singles 6-3, 6-4 to improve to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in SSC play
- Sophomore Haktan Garayev won #6 singles 6-1, 6-4 for his fourth consecutive win
