BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's and women's swimming teams posted 10 wins in a Sunshine State Conference meet with Florida Southern, Saturday on Senior Day. The 22
nd-ranked Lynn women defeated the Mocs, 136-126, while the Fighting Knight men lost to the 14
th-ranked Florida Southern men, 168-94.
A total of 17 student-athletes swam in their final meet at the McCusker Pool Complex;

HOW IT HAPPENED (Women):
- The Fighting Knight women won two relays and six individual events
- The 400 medley relay team of
Laura Dekoninck,
Claudia Porta,
Luna Mertins and
Malaika Schneider picked up a win to open the meet in 3:56.01
- Dekoninck, Schneider,
Lexi Lundell and
Katie Laferriere secured the team victory by closing the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:38.24
- Dekoninck was a perfect 2-for-2 in her individual events winning both the 100 (57.63) and 200 backstroke (2:04.59)
- Schneider was also perfect on the afternoon after winning both the 50 (25.12) and 200 freestyle (1:57.56)
- Mertins won the 100 freestyle (53.50), 100 butterfly (57.38) and took second in the 200 butterfly (2:07.71)

Sasha Giourtzidou finished in second place in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.51), third in the 100 backstroke (1:04.50) and fourth in the 400 IM (4:48.19)
- Lundell finished runner-up in the 100 freestyle (54.89) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.92)
- Porta was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.96 and took third in the 200 breast at 2:31.28
- Laferriere finished in second in the 50 freestyle in 25.48 and added third in the 100 freestyle at 55.57

Shachaf Bachar captured third in the 1,000 freestyle (10:59.90) and fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:35.36)

Julia Delaney took home fourth in the 1,000 freestyle (11:07.87) and fifth in the 400 IM (4:57.77)

Amy Evans finished in fourth place in the 100 butterfly (1:01.42) and fifth in both the 200 butterfly (2:17.91) and 200 breaststroke (2:36.41)

Alexis Mihok posted fourth place in both the 200 freestyle in 2:03.20 and the 200 backstroke in 2:17.74

- The Fighting Knights won two individual events and captured 14 top-three finishes

- Masmoudi won the 1,000 freestyle in 9:35.57 and took second in the 200 butterfly in 1:58.37

- Greseth finished in second place in the 200 freestyle (1:46.64), the 500 freestyle (4:44.35) and the 400 IM (4:15.41)
- Piotrowicz posted second place in the 100 breaststroke (57.85)
- Tsyfarov added second place in the 100 freestyle in 47.12 and fourth in the 200 free in 1:47.91
- Grabowski was second in the 100 back (52.50) and third in the 50 free (21.99)
- Hobbs took home second place in the 50 freestyle (21.89) and fourth in the 100 freestyle (47.99)

Chase Gagnon finished in third in the 200 backstroke (2:03.62) and fifth in both the 100 backstroke (58.06) and 400 IM (4:25.99)
