BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn women's swimming posted seven individual wins during its 145-114 loss to Division I Rutgers on Saturday.
Laura Dekoninck paced the Fighting Knights with a pair of wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The 400 medley relay of Dekoninck,
Luna Mertins,
Malaika Schneider and
Luz Tapia Sahagun opened the meet with second place in 3:52.71
- Mertins posted a win in the 100 backstroke (57.08) and finished second in the 100 butterfly (56.79)
- Tapia Sahagun won the 200 freestyle (1:55.98) and finished third in the 500 freestyle (5:11.36)
- Dekoninck posted wins in the 50 freestyle (23.97) and 100 freestyle (53.01) while finishing third in the 200 freestyle (1:57.12)

Lexi Lundell added to the mix, finishing third in the 50 freestyle (24.67) and securing first in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.10)
- Schneider took third in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.26)

Mariele De Santis placed second in the 200 butterfly (2:05.73) while posting a win in the 200 backstroke (2:04.67)
- Finishing off the individual events strong by going 1-2-3 in the 400 IM were De Santis (4:29.98),
Ally Webster (4:32.99) and
Julia Delaney (4:57.17)
- Ending off the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle relay were Mertins, Lundell, Schneider and Tapia Sahagun with a time of 1:37.77
