FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Lynn women's and men's swimming teams completed the final day of their dual meet with Florida International and Nova Southeastern, Saturday.
Mariele De Santis (200 back) and
Luna Mertins (100 butterfly) posted wins for the women while
Vitaly Kostin (100 IM) and
Maurice Grabowski (50 back) won on the men's side.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Women):
- The 200 free relay of
Malaika Schneider,
Luz Tapia Sahagun,
Lexi Lundell, &
Laura Dekoninck finished the meet with third place in 1:36.53.

Luna Mertins finished first in the 100 butterfly (56.20)
- De Santis posted a win in the 200 backstroke (2:04.51)
- De Santis 4:30.13 and her teammate
Ally Webster 4:33.91 went 2-3 in the 400 IM-Dekoninck posted second in the 50 backstroke at 26.98
HOW IT HAPPENED (Men):
- The 400 medley relay of
Paul Melcer,
Max Tsyfarov,
Vitaly Kostin, &
Maurice Grabowski opened the meet with second in 3:24.92 and third in 3:30.56
- Kostin posted a win in the 100 IM at 50.76 and finished second in the 100 butterfly going at 49.76
- Grabowski finished first in the 50 backstroke at 23.57, while teammate
Paul Melcer finished third in 24.27

Ryan Zasas (57.05) and
Russell Hart (1:00.31) finished 2-3 in the 100 breaststroke
- Tsyfarov finished second in the 100 freestyle in 46.62, while finishing third in the 100 IM at 52.03

Kamil Geisner (1:53.80) and
Mike Sickels (2:01.19) posted a 2-3 in the 200 backstroke

Paul Warnagiris added to the mix, taking third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:17.35
- Finishing off the meet strong with second place in the 200 free relay of
Spencer Hobbs,
Patrick Deevy,
Ryan Zasas and
Eli Spivak in 1:26.87
